Minimum amount to copy a trader on Binance, Bybit, Bitget
Bybit Classic asks 100 USDT to copy a trader; Bitget futures, spot and Gold/Indices ask 50. What each exchange's own page says, read 3 October 2026.
By Staff, Copytrade Press
Per the exchanges’ own help pages, Bybit Copy Trading Classic requires at least 100 USDT to copy one Master Trader, and Bitget requires 50 USDT for futures, spot and Gold/Indices copy trading. On both, the trader you copy can set a higher floor. Binance’s rules pages did not open to this desk, so no Binance figure appears here.
That is the short answer to the minimum amount to copy a trader on Binance, Bybit and Bitget. It is an evergreen question, though an exchange can edit a help page at any time. This desk read the exchanges’ own pages on 3 October 2026 and set them side by side.

Four rows carry figures. Every one of them is a floor the trader can lift, and three of them also bind after you have started.
Bybit: 100 USDT on Copy Trading Classic
Bybit’s follower guide to Copy Trading Classic, last updated 6 July 2026 per the page, says the minimum investment amount is 100 USDT and that Master Traders may establish a higher minimum, indicated on their profile. You may follow up to 10 Master Traders at the same time, so the floor applies per trader, not per account.
The same page repeats the figure under reducing an investment: you cannot go below 100 USDT or the Master Trader’s own minimum. The copy mode cannot be changed once selected. This desk did not read a minimum for Bybit’s Pro product.
Bitget: 50 USDT across three copy products
Bitget’s futures copy trading guide for copiers says a minimum of 50 USDT is required for the initial transfer into a dedicated copy trading account. Its transfer section says the copy account must always hold at least 50 USDT to stay active; its FAQ adds that total asset value must remain above your initial investment to continue copying. Those two lines do not say the same thing, and the page does not reconcile them.
Bitget’s spot copy trading guide sets the same 50 USDT start and says the total must remain at or above 50 USDT, excluding pending profit shares.
Bitget’s product update of 14 April 2026 launching Gold/Indices copy trading, built on MetaTrader 5, gives the copier minimum as 50 USDT set by the elite trader, capped at 5000 USDT and adjustable by the trader at any time. Our earlier report on Bitget’s CFD copy trading behind an invitation link covers the access side.
The floor is not the whole cost
The minimum is what the system accepts, not what copying costs. The trader’s profit share comes out of the same balance; the ceilings are in our post on what a lead trader can charge, and Bitget’s spot guide settles it under a high-water mark, covered in whether copy trading profit share uses one.
What is the minimum amount for copy trading on Bybit?
On Bybit Copy Trading Classic the minimum investment amount is 100 USDT per Master Trader copied, per the follower guide last updated 6 July 2026. A Master Trader may set a higher minimum, shown on their profile, and you cannot later reduce your investment below 100 USDT or that higher figure. This desk did not read a minimum for Bybit’s Pro copy trading.
What is the minimum amount to copy trade on Binance?
This post does not print one. Both Binance copy trading FAQ pages this desk tried returned STATUS 202 to an automated fetch on 3 October 2026, with no body text. That is a bot-block, not evidence that Binance publishes no minimum, and a figure seen only in a search snippet is not printed here.
How much money do I need to start copy trading?
On the pages read, the entry floor is 100 USDT on Bybit Copy Trading Classic and 50 USDT on Bitget’s futures, spot and Gold/Indices copy products, before any higher minimum the trader sets. That is the smallest allocation the system accepts, not a sum sized to the risk. Fees, profit share and losses come out of that balance, and it has to stay above the floor to keep copying.
Can a lead trader set a higher minimum to copy?
Yes, on every product read. Bybit says Master Traders may establish a higher minimum, indicated on their profile. Bitget’s futures and spot copier guides say your transfer must meet or exceed any minimum the trader has set. On Bitget Gold/Indices the elite trader sets the minimum anywhere from 50 to 5000 USDT and, per the launch page, can adjust it at any time.
The figures above are as published on the pages read on 3 October 2026, and availability varies by jurisdiction. A low entry floor is a marketing threshold, not a risk limit, and not a reason to copy anyone. Copy trading transfers risk, not skill, and past performance does not predict future results. This is not financial advice.
